If you're talking about trickplay, posters, etc... you can make that change in the settings for each individual library. Uncheck "Save artwork into media folders" and "Save trickplay images into media folders". ETA: This is not done automatically for all image types. You will likely have to delete images for them to relocate to your cache directory.
