system specs
msi z390 godlike
i9-9900k
arc a770 oc (16gb variant)
32gb ram
more space than you can shake a stick at.
running fedora 42 (only os installed, jellyfin is NOT in a container)
the issue I'm running into is, if I pick any of the 3 avail transcoding options avail to me in my setup (Intel qsv, vaapi or video4linux2) there are invariably files that will not play (ranging from avi to mkv), if I set it to none EVERYTHING plays properly but from what I can see it s not using the dgpu when set to none. I can provide any logs I'm asked for to help resolve this issue.
what throws me off is when I was on Linux mint/Ubuntu, Intel qsv was what I used and everything played properly.
side issue: I cannot get music to work period, I used to have it working under windows when I was first getting my feet wet but I haven't been able to get this working under linux and I've been through 3 variants (Linux mint, Ubuntu and now Fedora), any help in this area would be greatly appreciated as I have about 700gb of music just sitting, it is stored on the same drive that I have other media that jellyfin does see.
side side issue: I've noticed that the favorites button (the heart) appears to have disappeared and I do not know how to bring it back...
thank you in advance for any help.
