Hey everyone, 15yr veteran of the Plex community, recently ditched it for Jellyfin (and loving it!), but I'm having a problem I hope someone can help with. I can't seem to get my Jellyfin install to create appropriate seasons for shows with date-based naming conventions. I've been searching for days and can't find anyone describing what I'm seeing, so I thought I'd come here and make my first post - here are the details:
What am I missing?
- Release: For tv series that are date-based (ex: Colbert, Daily Show, Maddow, Kimmel, etc) [removed by bitmap] named like:
Stephen.Colbert.2025.06.10.Nicolle.Wallace.1080p.WEB.h264-JOAN
[removed by bitmap]
- Processed: The resulting file [following altered by bitmap], renamed, looks like:
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (2015) - 2025-06-10 - Nicolle Wallace, Cyndi Lauper WEBDL-1080p x264 AAC 2.0 JOAN.mkv
- Jellyfin: When my Jellyfin install sees files named like the one above, it creates a
Season Unkonwnseason folder
What am I missing?
