do you have secondary subtitles enabled? i've seen this a few times, I can't recall the state i put playback into but noticed it just now on a video and they were both on, you can check when playing the video and click on subtitles, you'll see the normal subtitles enabled but if you click on secondary subtitles is the same subtitles also enabled?
