I Got Impatient Waiting for Official Support, So I Built a Hacky Yet Functional Workaround
--with Jellyfin still lacking this feature, I started banging my head on how to "just make it work." After too much coffee and frustration, I ended up writing my own super hacky solution: Playlist‑buddy.
What It Is
A lightweight tool that silently syncs one Jellyfin playlist with another — automatically and in both directions. (MUSIC ONLY AT THE MOMENT.)
What It Isn’t
“Production-ready,” foolproof, or officially supported by Jellyfin. Treat it like a beta prototype that might make your life easier.
What You Must Do
Read all the setup instructions and warnings carefully
Always back up your playlist XML files before syncing
Be thoughtful — especially when deleting or reordering tracks
Sound Useful? Check It Out

Happy to help anyone who wants to give it a try. Just be mindful and tinker responsibly. Peace!
