Using IOS devices there's absolutely NO settings I can set regarding subtitles to stop them playing. I have turned them off in the player, turned them off in the user settings in the App - no difference whatsoever.
The only way I can stop them playing is to delete the external SRT files for each episode. This is not helpful as I may have other members of the family that need them when we are watching collectively on the smart TV via Roku streaming stick or LG TV Apps.
Why this is an issue is that when there's only me watching on an iPad, the subs are so large that it takes up a third of the screen, hence the annoying issue here and why I want to disable them. Is this an IOS App issue or something in the NAS Jellyfin Server? As said these are SRT files and not embedded. Why is this so difficult to just stop the bloody things from displaying? Having to copy them all back again after I've finished is not practical.
