Ah, thank you for the explanation. Yes, that aligns with my observations. It's indeed the case that the subtitles appear later (after about 20-30 minutes). The part about the spinning wheel in the settings is accurate as well.
My Jellyfin server runs on a Linux (Ubuntu 22.04) mini computer directly (without Docker or similar) with an 8-core Intel i7-11370H (11th generation) CPU. Performance-wise, that should not be an issue, as the CPU, with the integrated graphics card, can transcode 4K movies without problems. Currently, my LG TV is connected to the Wi-Fi 5 network. When playing movies (including 4K), there are no delays.
Is there a way to speed up the process with subtitles? I made sure that the movies always have an SRT subtitle so that I can play the movie natively without transcoding (for HDR and such) because my LG TV doesn't understand other subtitle formats, and it would otherwise transcode the movies.
