Then it’s probably a client related issue, most likely your TV is not compatible with those files for direct play (h265 files have issues sometimes in WebOS). If you have many videos with that issue and your server is capable, I would try to force transcoding to h264, or you will have to trancode a lot of files and that takes a lot of time. Let the integrated and optimized Jellyfin-ffmpeg do the job for you (that’s what I would do, but nothing wrong with your solution). The other thing would be to buy a new Smart TV, but I’m guessing that would be an extreme solution for something fixable through server configuration or by transcoding the files with Handbrake.
