After the update, I wanted to make a backup.
But I ended up with a full root folder!!
Indeed, the backup, which was at least 32GB, stopped!!
Is it possible to change the backup destination folder?
Is it possible to schedule the backup? That would be an option to add!!
Scheduled a backup and only keep the last three!!!
Another question: I noticed the /varlib/jellyfin/data/trickplay folder was 8.8GB!
What is this folder for? Can it be deleted? Or can it be moved elsewhere?
Thanks for your answers!
Regards!
No, it is not possible to change the save location of the backup or schedule a backup. It's only the first version of the backup option, but more features will be added over time.
When you enable Trickplays for a library, they are stored in that path. Trickplays are the image previews that you see when you hover your mouse over the timeline. In your library settings, you can choose to save the trickplays next to your media instead of the default location in the data folder. If you change it, you then need to go to the scheduled task and run the Migrate Trickplay Image Location task. If you unselect the trickplay option in your library settings, then run the Generate Trickplay Images task they will be deleted.
