I just got a Samsung myself and was not too happy when I discovered it doesn't have the Jellyfin app. Why???
It's a workaround for sure but it seems pretty solid so far. We have a Roku 4k device that has been deemed unneeded thanks to the TV shuffle. I connected it and the Samsung installed a Roku app so now if I select the Roku app, it plays Jellyfin off of the Roku and does a good job of it. Bonus is that the Samsung remote controls the Roku seamlessly.
I know that doesn't answer your question but hopefully it gives you a considerable alternative.
