The reason I ask is, there are a lot of inconsistencies among the many Jellyfin platforms. I have, so far, used the Windows client, the PC web client, Android phone client, Nvidia Shield client, Google TV client, and the one on LG smart TVs, which I think is WebOS, a Linux-based client.
I have one particular library for audio books that will not show up on either Nvidia Shield or Google TV. All other libraries do. Nothing is wrong on the server. I have spent hours trying to make them appear. Their versions have issues.
On WebOS, the library is there instantly, but it is very slow compared to the Nvidia Shield. It is also poorly written for audio books. Once you start playing a book, it requires exactly 10 clicks of the remote to stop playing and return to the previous menu. There is no stop button on the player. You have to navigate to a small icon at the top that takes about 5 clicks, then another player opens, and you have to click another 4 times to reach the stop button, then you can exit the player.
While I'm on my soapbox, who thought that it was a good idea to make all libraries, all individual folders for movies, tv, music, etc., have individual setting for the display layout? Does anyone actually want one music artist to be small icons, another medium, and yet another large? There should be a global setting for layout image, size, and grid direction.
