I trashed my jellyfin server and start from 0 again, adding 1 library at a time to see which one was failing, and apparently trakt plugin decided to sync as expected. No idea what caused the problem in my previous installation, but at least now I have my watch states reinstated :-)
Still looking for a decent self-hosted trakt alternative that is actively maintained and works with jellyfin. Yamtrack looks promising, just finished importing my trakt history, let's see if their webhooks integration works in practice!
