    Since no-one else seems interested, I reply to myself.
    I switched DLNA debug mode on as described in the forum, which showed what JF is trying to match.
    Then after further changes to my user profile - specifically removing all the wildcards to match my device, which I had kept from the original "Denon AVR" profile that I had copied to make my user one - have led to the profile actually being found and matched.
    Old:
    Code:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <Profile xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
      xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
      <Name>Denon AVC</Name>
      <Identification>
        <FriendlyName>Denon:\[AVC:.*</FriendlyName>
        <Manufacturer>Denon</Manufacturer>
        <Headers />
    New:
    Code:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <Profile xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
      xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
      <Name>Denon AVC-X3800H</Name>
      <Identification>
        <FriendlyName>Denon AVC-X3800H</FriendlyName>
        <Manufacturer>Denon</Manufacturer>
        <Headers />

    Now it matches my user profile but still does this every 100ms, seemingly forever or maybe it is linked to the number of tracks (2240) in the playlist that I am trying to play?
    This still results in response times of 5 - 10 minutes from hitting the play button in JF until the music starts playing, which is not a very nice experience.
