I have the same questions as OP. I don't even see Live TV as an option on the Swiftfin tvOS client. There is an option to enable it in the experimental settings, but this does not yield anything fruitful (including in the "media" tab as their documentation suggests). The Swiftfin iOS client has Live TV and it works as expected, it is only tvOS that has these issues.
Curious what I might be doing wrong here.
