Hi all!
First time to Jellyfin, I'm on a fresh install 10.11.2. Hardware transcoding is set up and functioning as expected if you manually change the bitrate during playback.
I had assumed that Jellyfin would change bitrate and transcode on the fly, like any other streaming service, but no matter what I do, how slow the connection is, the play method is Direct playing. Frames get constantly dropped, and buffering occurs.
I see that Jellyfin does a bitrate test when you first load but that doesn't seem to affect anything. The playback quality never changes.
I'm hoping I'm just missing a tweak somewhere as this is the missing piece of a great setup so far!
Please let me know if I can provide any more information, logs etc.
Many thanks,
Mike
