Some media library systems track episodes through program IDs or unique identifiers. If these identifiers are retained when moving the directory, Jellyfin should be able to recognize the corresponding episodes.

e.g.
Library: Active Shows,
Folders
Q:\CurrentTV\In_Progress
Q:\CurrentTV\WaitForNextSeason
Question: If I move a show's root directory from 'In_Progress" to " WaitForNextSeason' and vice versa, when Jellyfin scans the directory for changes, does it completely re-download all the Metadata for the show or does it recognise that this is the same audio to text show as it already has metadata for and so will reuse the existing metadata, thumbnails etc?
If there are other ways to do this please let me know.
