This is a possible solution and I considered filtering this way from the beginning but I wanted a little more granular control over things. the kids1 tag has been working fine but for one series its breaking in the manner described in the first post. Not sure why it's only failing for the one show? It is also showing the custom tag in the interface but will only recognize it if I delete it and re-add it.
