Android TV app causing internet issues

I have been running a Jellyfin server on an old gaming PC for a few months now using unraid, however, I have recently noticed that streaming anything from the server causes my home network to suddenly become unstable and drop connections for all devices in my home during playback. Only one device in my home is streaming on the server, which is a streaming box connected to the tv in the primary bedroom, which is using the android tv app.

I have gigabit internet through Google Fiber and use a mesh router system (TP Link Deco BE3600) to ensure adequate connectivity throughout the house, but the issue appears only when streaming on the tv. With having good internet and bandwidth availability, it is unusual that this is happening, especially as there are many devices connected to the network at the same time during the day. However, once the android tv app starts a stream, everything takes a nosedive.

Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated as I am stumped. Thank you!

Try lowering your bitrate in AndroidTV.
Go to Preferences --> Payback --> Advanced playback preferences --> change Max streaming bitrate to 40 Mbit/s.
See if that helps. You would need to do that for each user or there is a global setting in server admin that changes it for all users.
