Jellyfin does not currently allow you to manually browse and load external subtitle files the way Kodi does.

- Stored in the same folder as the video, and
- Have the exact same filename (e.g., MovieName.mkv + MovieName.srt)
So if you're using Jellyfin:
- Put the .srt file in the same directory as the video on your server.
- Refresh the library.
- Jellyfin should detect it automatically.
If you must browse manually, use a player that supports external subtitle browsing, such as:
- VLC for Android TV → Subtitles → Browse
- Kodi → has full subtitle browsing support
- Nova Video Player → can load external subs locally
