    Heyo!
I have an M1 Mac that I use for jellyfin as a music server, however, recently I tried updating from 10.8.13 to 10.9.0 (at the same time transitioning from Rosetta-based to native silicon). It worked mildly well, but then it started to have major issues such as only scanning through 96% or so through my music folder, and when we take out the file it is hanging on (as stated by the log) and restart the scan, it still hangs, but on a different file.
We then went through every 10.9.x version till the latest (10.9.7) hoping it got fixed, but none worked, and from 10.9.4 onward it got worse. It showed the albums and the metadata (however incomplete it was), but it didn’t show the songs themselves.
I have since downgraded back to 10.8.13 and it is scanning songs and playing things back as it should be.
Feel free to ask for logs or screenshots of each version!
Hope this can be fixed 🤞

Can you share your full jellyfin logs via pastebin?

I'll be home in a few hours, I'll send the logs for each version then! Most likely in GDrive as I have the server logging in debug mode.

    Heyo!
Sorry that took so long, here are logs from each version where, when possible, I both played a song, and attempted to scan the library. I upgraded to each version individually in the same setup, and successfully recreated all the errors.
Feel free to ask should you need anything else.

When you downgraded to 10.8.13, I'm assuming you also restored the database from a backup. Your 10.9.4 logs has some concerning database related errors. Not 100% certain if that would cause sporadic scan failures, though. Or preventing scanned items from being listed.

Are any of these fresh installs? Or are they all upgrades of the 10.8.13 database?

Those were all upgrades of the 10.8.13 database, which was indeed restored from a backup.
I did try to do a full reinstall and reinitialization for each version a while back, but those encountered the same issues.
