Try putting 0 or 1. IIRC Windows uses device indexes, starting with 0.

oof, still no idea what's going on.
for the render node path, i've tried 0, 1, and a pathway to an nvidia folder (before you responded). for the past 2 days i've tried playing H264 720p media numerous times (which has failed / stuttered)-- for some reason i won't even get a log! (see insert img) no idea why so now i'm not even sure what to show you. here is the log_today.log for today if that is helpful https://privatebin.net/?3da64b626d23fb53...3xoyZYn61M thank you SO MUCH AGAIN!

If there is successful playback, the fact that there is no log indicates it is direct playing.
Also, your privatebin link expired (I was out and about yesterday). If you are still having issues, can you repost your log?

no worries, thank you again!
here is a recent ffmpeg transcode log but it's for an HEVC 265 -- so i'm not sure if it's relevant (or why it's trying to transcode) https://privatebin.net/?b3fabc082b1ec542...aMZ9qJ9FUF i've definitely been failing on that same media file (TWL s3e1) that's H264 but no log for that. just triple checking: my playback / transcode settings have not changed. here is log.3.14 https://privatebin.net/?59617d7061d50197...3RGp7katet here is log.3.15 https://privatebin.net/?01d285d87e4a0acc...21CpAAoshU

I don't know what is going on with your setup. It just isn't using VAAPI for some reason. One thing I just noticed is that your application dir is in C:\Program Files\Jellyfin instead of C:\ProgramData\Jellyfin.
I say start from scratch. |
