i everyone, I’m installing the latest version of Jellyfin on a Windows server and I’d like to use symlinks with rclone, so I can reorganize the server structure a bit without having to modify the entire cloud, which would be really complicated for me—almost impossible.
Additionally, I prefer to have a local file structure.
In the past, I remember trying this, and it worked perfectly; it was even the only media player that supported it, while Plex couldn’t.
Now I’m trying again, but I can’t get it to work: Jellyfin doesn’t recognize any symlinks. I’m really desperate because this feature solved 101% of my remote access problems.
    Thanks!

10.11.2 has issues with symlinks. There are symlinks changes for 10.11.3, which should be released this weekend.

    Thanks, I didn’t know that.
I hope it also works for discovering new content, not just for the already scanned items.
Is the release coming this weekend? On the GitHub link you sent me, there was no mention of this.
    Thanks!

When will the update be released?
It seems to have been fixed, but the update hasn't arrived yet.
After this big update, I think updates should also be released for smaller fixes.

Great job, everyone thank you! It’s finally working, although only partially.
There’s still something not quite right on Windows.

    Movies are recognized perfectly.
TV shows, however, are not detected when creating a library with the TV Shows category selected. They are recognized if the Movies & TV Shows option is selected.

I need to be more precise.
When a library is set to TV Shows, it recognizes the TV series, but it does not recognize the seasons or the related episodes.
However, when a library is set to Movies & TV Shows, it recognizes the TV series and correctly detects the seasons and their episodes.
I’m going crazy I really want to fix this issue as soon as possible.

There’s nothing written in the log. I start the scan, but nothing shows up it doesn’t give any output at all.
So frustrating… it’s a fresh installation, and I wanted to start this new setup properly organized with symlinks, but I’ve already been waiting for almost a month…

Please, I’m asking for this issue to be fixed as soon as possible.
    Thank you.
