    Trickplay inconsistency

Trickplay works great on the web but not so well on the client

    Hello there,

Apologies if this has been asked before but is there any way to improve trickplay functionality on the Jellyfin client?
Currently Trickplay is very stuttery on the Jellyfin client but very smooth and responsive on the web.
If not, does anyone know why this happens?

I have attached links to gifs below to better explain what I mean:

    Trickplay on the web
    Trickplay on the client

    Many thanks, PT

The client in this case is Jellyfin Media Player correct?

I'll double check later, but I believe that's normal. JMP on my Windows 10 machine has always had a slower GUI than when I used Jellyfin on a browser.

Ok, so I checked and JMP is also showing the same behavior as what you shared with trickplay. Don't know why, but at least you don't have any issues to worry about on your end.
