    Hi all,

I'm currently very happy with my Jellyfin home setup:
Lenovo M93p PC with a 1TB drive runnning Linux, with qB for downloads, and Jellyfin running to serve content over my local network to my LG TV that's running the Jellyfin app.

Now to my current challenge:  I have a friend who would like the same setup BUT she has a Samsung TV for which there is no official app AND I do not want to go down a side-loading route.

I have another Lenovo M93 that I was planning to configure the same as mine, however I'm then left with the challenge around how to get Jellyfin to play through her Samsung TV.  The only option I can see is to buy a cheap Android TV box and install the Jellyfin app on that to stream content from the new server.  I have a firestick I could use but my experiments with it (and online research) indicate it's limited in the file types and bit rates it can stream.

Any other thoughts from members?  I'm hoping there's a solution staring me in the face that I'm not seeing.  Cheers!

I have had good results with the $20 Onn Google tv streamer. https://www.walmart.com/ip/2835618394?si...3c2397a8b2 The Android TV app for Jellyfin has been really good too. Every update only improves it.

My firestick works great on my bedroom TV for most stuff when using MX Player or VLC as an external player, which is very easy to set up.
    Specifics:
    Jellyfin 10.10.7 (docker) on Debian 12.6 // N100 16GB
    Storage: Synology DS220+ CIFS mounts
Clients: Jellyfin4Kodi (Addon Mode), Android, Android TV, Roku, Symfonium
