is it possible for allow multiple users to edit the same playlist? i know this used to be possible before the recent update that allowed for private playlists. now though, it seems like only the user who created a playlist can edit it, even if they've set it to be public. is there any way to change this?

The simplest workaround is to recreate the playlist that is public and then copy the contents of the XML file of the current playlist into the new one.

Hi again. I know you responded to my other thread, but this is a separate, subsequent problem. I'm sorry if that wasn't clear.

I already did what you suggested here to solve the issue from that first thread. Re-creating the playlists as public and rebuilding them with the backed up playlist.xml files did make it so all users are able to see them. However, even though all users can see them, only the user who created them is able to edit them. Specifically, I created them while logged in on the admin account, but now neither myself or my partner can edit them when we're logged in with our user accounts. We can create new playlists of course, but we can't add or remove tracks from the existing ones, because they were created by the admin account.

I could of course re-create those playlists again while logged in under a user account, but that wouldn't really solve the problem. It would allow that user to edit the playlists, but not any other users. Is there any way to allow multiple users to edit a public playlist?

Huh. Never tried that. You're right. Only the owner can edit the playlist. AFAIK, there is no way around that.

That's unfortunate. It definitely was possible for multiple users to edit a playlist before, and it would be nice to have that feature back.

    I submitted a feature request.
