Android TV - Direct Plays DV even if TV is not DV capable

Hello,

gerneral question:

Is the Android TV client unable to detect if a tv is able to display dolby vision content?
Everything works fine if the tv supports DV, but in case of a tv not supporting DV it is just direct playing and everything is green and pink.

the jellyfin for android tv client passes the stream on to the player which decides what to do from there

in the instance of ExoPlayer i can confirm it seems to play as-is without regard to what the display is capable of
