Is it possible to enable "TV mode" on the android app? this way a controller can also be used...
    Any ideas?

This can also be an alternative app for AndroidTV since it installs no problem.

We have separate apps for mobile and TV. You can find the Android TV app here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai....androidtv

I think OP is saying he wants the option to switch the display mode on the Android phone app to TV Mode like you can in a browser. That way, he might get a controller to work with the phone app. Though there's also no option to enable gamepad support on the phone app.

This is from my imagination, but I can see this being useful if you're connecting the phone to a "dumb" external display and you want to control it from afar.

The phone app is for phones only. It is not possible to change the display mode.

Yes, exactly this. Just exploring possibilities since Android app is just a web wrapper and technically it is more flexible. Would it be possible to put the Android app in "TV mode" with some hacky stuff? - once on "TV mode" and using it with a controller, interface will show 'focus' when navigating...

The mobile app does not support dpad controls in the native parts (server selection / video player) so no, not possible. Use our native TV app.
