Android TV Music Player

I wanted to check if I missed something before raising a feature request.

The Android App allows me to "Play All" or "Shuffle All" on my phone, but not on TV, or have I just missed it.

Another cool feature, although admittedly I haven't seen any other apps that have it, would be to hide the controls and switch to a screensaver after a while to give people something to look at. Either a third-party screensaver that the user has installed, or a Jellyfin screensaver that showed, say, random Photos from the JF library.

You haven't missed anything. AFAIK, this is not a thing in the ATV app. There are existing feature requests to add this.

I've just tried a bunch of music players out on Android, before I remembered that Jellyfin can do music, as well as photo/video, and might be what I'm looking for.

Our Android TV app already has the option to shuffle. Once playback is started just enable the shuffle option. The app also has a screensaver that will show when the app is open and idle for X amount of time (configurable in the app) and you can set that screensaver as the default for your device in the device settings.

Thanks, but there is no "Shuffle All" option. You have to select an album, or a playlist, before you can shuffle.

Ooh that's very nearly what I was looking for. The issue is that when you are playing a song the app is not idle, so it just shows you the Play Controls.

it looks like Google have turned off the screensaver settings on the GCCwGTV. I think I need to use adb to install my own screensaver now.
