Meet jellytools, an open source collection of tools for enhancing your Jellyfin server. While jellytools isn't a plugin, this seemed like the best forum to make the announcement. I made jellytools to help me migrate my media from a Plex server to a new Jellyfin server and to make my Jellyfin server's UI more attractive.

    Features:
    • Generate animated library cards from media posters in high-quality MP4 video format and custom JavaScript to add these animations to library cards
    • Multiple animation styles: grid, waterfall, spiral, mosaic, vortex, cascade, explode, kaleidoscope, and shockwave
    • Synchronize artwork and collections from Plex

Take a look at this video demo for what the animations look like in practice. There are video samples of each animation type on the GitHub page for jellytools.

I hope someone else finds this tool useful. Also interesting is that I developed jellytools while using Claude Code, which is Anthropic's new terminal based code assistant. Its super cool  Raised-fist
