    hey

when having 10bit files on my jellyfin server, what do I have to keep in mind and what are the possi Le downsides of it?

I use n100 hardware and stream to a chromecast 4k (and HD) stick and windows/android devices

as far as I understand, 10 and 12 bit is the way to the future

I decided to transcode a 8bit source to 10bit as it was said to be beneficial for color banding in h265, but does it have downsides in jellyfin (or with the devices that use it) that I should be aware of?
