Best low profile 4K AVC/HEVC encoding GPU for the price?

What's the best low profile GPU that encodes 4K AVC/HEVC for the price?

I have my data stored as AV1 video, because most of my devices conveniently support it (or at least mask it behind it's own software decoder). My Fire Stick, however, doesn't.

I didn't notice that it was transcoding at first, but then I started to have 4K videos on my instance, which my current iGPU can only handle 23 frames per second for (just one less than the needed 24).

What would be the best low profile GPU that can handle this for the price? Probably asking a lot here, especially the low profile one.

Sparkle makes an Arc A310 in a low profile config. I think it also includes a half height bracket if needed. Should more than meet your needs.

Fully agree with the above, from my own research, any A310 will supercharge pretty much any Jellyfin server that doesn't already have a discrete GPU, and the higher-end Arc cards do not offer increased transcoding performance, so the cheapest one will do the trick and likely be pretty power efficient too.

If you're running Linux, make sure your kernel is on at least version 6.2. Lower versions do not support Arc GPU's.
