Can anyone suggest some best practices for hosting music videos?  I see some older threads on the Reddit forum which reference a Music Video plug in but I don't see that plug in anymore.

There is a plugin for pulling metadata from IMVDB but their library seems pretty limited.

Right now, I have the videos named in this format: artist - song.mp4.  Example: "Savatage - Hall of the Mountain King.mp4".  I can view the videos fine but it does not auto play the next one even though I have this option checked.  I assume I have something organized incorrectly.

    Thanks.

The plugin is IMVDb and is still in the stable plugin repo. The naming scheme is the same as Movies (the docs refer you to the Movies naming section). You would likely want to do either loose files with good naming conventions or one folder per music video. You could try a Shows library if you want artist to be the "show" and videos to live inside of the artist. However, I don't know what library types IMVDb supports.

    Plugins: https://repo.jellyfin.org/?path=/plugin
    Naming: https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/server/media/movies

There doesn't seem to be a readme for IMVDb...

    Thanks...

I made a new library and made it of type "Music Videos" after installing that plug in. It is still only playing one video at a time and not obeying the "Play next episode automatically" setting. Are videos not considered "Episodes"?

Right now, I am have all the videos dumped into a single folder using what I think is a reasonable naming convention but apparently not. Smiling-face

Also, do you know of any way to shuffle play all videos in a library?

    Bump.
Organizing music videos in Jellyfin works best when they follow a structured naming convention. Keeping them in a separate folder with clear artist and album details helps with metadata fetching. If you're managing a large collection and need to transfer it between devices, Filemail is a useful tool. It supports fast, secure transfers for big media libraries without quality loss.

If you're bumping because you want to know if there is a way to shuffle an entire library, the answer is no.
