Hi:
Is there any workaround for lowering the volume of the theme songs? They play at full volume and there’s no setting in Jellyfin to adjust it. This feature is not usable as it is, unless you modify the gain of each mp3 file, one by one.
I understand this is a feature that has been asked since some time, I hope it gets implemented some day. But for the meantime, is there any workaround? I tried to use MP3gain to normalize the audio and to lower the volume, but it’s not an option. For batch processing the files they have to be inside the same folder, and there can’t be multiple theme.mp3 files inside one (and renaming them one by one, batch processing them, then renaming them back to theme.mp3 and moving them to the corresponding movie sub folder, would be a job that will take forever).
Do you know of a program that can normalize/modify the gain of multiple files without the need of them being in the same folder? Some program that modifies the files, but keeps them where they are. It would be ideal if there’s a program that can batch process all the mp3 files inside my movies folder (which has sub folders for every movie), without moving them or renaming them.
For example, having the theme.mp3 file inside the John Wick 1 sub folder normalized and with lower volume, with the resulting file overwriting the original so it’s still theme.mp3 inside the same sub folder. Or at least saving it as theme2.mp3 or something like that, but remaining inside the same folder (it’s easier to delete all the original theme.mp3 and renaming the new ones, than process all the files in one folder and then listen to all of them one by one to place them in the correct movie sub folder).
Do you know of a program that can do that? One that modifies the files in their respective folders? Anyway, this would be a workaround, it would be really nice that you could set the theme songs volume in JF (or having a general volume setting for the entire GUI). Honestly, right now the theme songs feature is kind of unusable, the files play like twice as loud as the movies themselves (and it should be the opposite, theme songs should have low volume to have them playing in the background without waking everyone in the house).
Thanks in advance
PS: BTW, I’m using Themerr to get the mp3 files for movies and shows. They are very loud, I have to turn down the tv volume while at the GUI, and then turn it back up to watch a movie. And if I forget to lower the volume regularly, I’ll end up having a heart attack, they are really loud compared to the rest of the media.
