I was re-organizing my library and reducing the file size of various shows where possible. This process included removing a select show/season out of its respective library/drive, either replacing the video files with smaller ones or just taking it out to put into a new drive then scanning the library, making sure the show/season disappeared from the library and making sure the metadata no longer showed for that show/season, then putting the files back in once ready. This would typically work before when doing so, however once the show/season was added back - it doubled up the episodes and made the respective poster blurry as well as showing the original path in the metadata manager.
Here are images for both the blank episodes and metadata manager doubling the series for Pokemon and The Handmaid's Tale.

To attempt to remedy this, I removed the library folders for each section of my library that was setup (Anime/TV Shows/Kids TV), scanned all libraries, verified everything was gone, shutdown the server, did a re-install to the same version, and started the server back up. Unfortunately, once the folders were added back to each library in the dashboard - the doubling occurred once again.
I am going to attempt to replace all metadata in each library and see if that works, I would imagine this is a glitch that is known of and hopefully fixed in a later release.

I am using Jellyfin 10.10.7 on Windows 11 direct install. The typical folder structure for each library (each section listed above has 3 folders in it with the same structure)
Folder 1: Drive > Additional > Anime (or TV Shows/Kids TV) > Series Folder > Seasons > Episodes
    Folder 2: Drive 2 > Anime > Series > Seasons > Episodes
    Folder 3: Drive 3 > Anime > Series > Seasons > Episodes
    Go to solution

update: replacing all metadata for the Kids TV section did nothing, I was able to watch it replace the .nfo files and images related to the show but the old metadata is still showing up in metadata manager and there are still doubled/blank episodes

Recreate the folder path and re-add it. Scanning the empty path should remove it.

So I tried this and nothing changed so I went through and each series that was having the issue I made "scan for new and updated files" and that worked to get rid of the blank episodes and blurry poster images, however - it simply fixes it by recreating the relevant files in the ORIGINAL location the file was in before I moved anything around. It is like the server is refusing to update the location for each episode from the old drive to the new

for clarification - say Pokemon was in two locations originally, drive 1 under "Drive > additional > Kids TV > Pokemon > Season 20" and drive 2 under "Drive 2 > Kids TV > Pokemon > every other season". The goal was to simply move season 20 to drive 2 so it is all under a single location. For some reason, jellyfin is insisting that season 20 is still on drive 1 so it is looking for it there. But it isn't, if I scan in any way - it remakes the images/metadata relevant to the series in the original location.
I am going to fully delete the Kids TV library and remake it, see if that fixes the issue

update: deleting the entire library section and remaking it resolved all issues
