    "Buffering" for Next Audio Track

How do I remove the playback gap between FLAC files?

Newbie. I am mostly playing FLAC audio files from a Synology NAS through Jellyfin to a Roku.

I am noticing long pauses between audio tracks from the same folder/album. This seems akin to the 2 second gap one had to toggle on or off depending on how you wanted to burn a CD ... back in the day.

Is there something I need to do to smooth this out, like a setting to have it pre-load part of the next track?

I am not aware of a setting to change how this behaves. But I've never listened to music on my Roku, either. So can't say for certain that such a setting doesn't exist on the client.

Is it transcoding or remuxing the files?

I have no idea (nor do I know how to tell). But I can't imagine a Roku remuxing anything.
