Hello I'm currently working on my home media server. I finally got things working with my NAS! I currently though, have a small dilemma I ripped all of my Blu-ray copies of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure I want to separate season 1 into two parts. I made a small image to better explain what I'm trying to do, but in word form I want "Season 2" to be the 2nd part of season 1. then season 3 as the actual season 2. While I can do that it seems to stubbornly keep the metadata from the "Actual" season 2 which isn't what I want even after putting in the IMDB ID.

    Thanks in advance!

AFAIK, you cannot force splitting of seasons.

Why are you trying to do this? If you want to do an alternate order, like by story arc, there is a function to do that.

Not an alternate order per day. more or less splitting season 1 in two peices. only because this anime is an adaptation of a manga the manga is split in between 8 'parts' and every single part except the first two have their own "Season" it's more or less just an OCD thing that bothers me if I can't do it then I'll probably sit down and brute force it but it will probably take me forever to do Slightly-frowning-face

Jellyfin lets you manually edit in the metadata for all aspects of the media in your library. You can also lock the media so that future scans won't change your manual changes.

It might be tedious at first, but I would just manually edit the shows you want with the season number and name that you want them to have. Obviously the correct metadata won't be pulled automatically, so you'll have to search for it online, then copy-paste it to your manual edit.

This is basically what I do to a lot of my media. I want shows in my server to be organized a certain way that doesn't follow the rules, so I'll edit it to my liking and then lock it at the end. Defeats the purpose of Jellyfin handling the metadata for you, but it is what it is.
