Is it normal for Generate Trickplay Images to take 14 days to complete?
At 7.6% complete after 48 hours the linear math shows another 12 days to complete.
    Normal or something broken.

It does sound normal. Trickplay generation is resource intensive, so it takes a while.

The speed at which it runs depends on your CPU or GPU, and how much videos you have to go through.

    What are your server's specs?

Synology DS1621+ with 32gb ram. Forgot what processors it has. ~6000 videos to get through. If 2 weeks sounds right, then so be it. I'm in no hurry as I'm waiting on the Roku app to get this feature update which is probably a few weeks away. Thanks for the guidance.

It's a quad-core Ryzen running at 2.2GHz, so quite beefy for a NAS.

Yes, it will take a long time to generate those images. Apart from the image generation itself, don't forget that each media file needs to be read to find/extract those images - so you have storage latency to contend with in addition to processing time.

Thank you. Couple hours later and up to 7.9% complete so progress is being made.
