I'm getting this error "We're unable to connect to the selected server right now. Please ensure it is running and try again." when trying to connect to jellyfin remotely. I've been using Nordvpn Meshnet for months now with no problems but now randomly it's not working on anything other than my local machine. I've checked the public private settings of my local computer and all of my other meshnet ports work on other devices. I'm not sure what else to try. Thank you for any help.

Can you restart jellyfin and then share your jellyfin log via pastebin?

AFAICT, requests just aren't making it to Jellyfin. Something prior to Jellyfin is blocking connections. What is the firewall status for Jellyfin?

Start > type "Resource Monitor" > click "Networking" tab > expand "Listening ports" table > find jellyfin.exe on port 8096

What is in the "Firewall status" column?

And you said that the NIC is set to private, correct? I've seen Windows updates reset this.

Yes just checked again and I've even tried swapping them back and forth from private to public. I can't seem to update jellyfin either when I try to update I get these errors.

[18:20:25] [INF] [13] Jellyfin.Api.Auth.CustomAuthenticationHandler: AuthenticationScheme: CustomAuthentication was challenged.
[18:20:27] [INF] [13] Jellyfin.Api.Auth.CustomAuthenticationHandler: CustomAuthentication was not authenticated. Failure message: Invalid token.
[18:20:27] [ERR] [13] Jellyfin.Api.Middleware.ExceptionMiddleware: Error processing request: Invalid token. URL GET /socket.

Not sure if this helps or not with the current problems I'm having. Thank you again for helping.

Try having Jellyfin bind to only the actual LAN IP.

Dashboard > Networking > Bind to local network address > 192.168.0.55

So nothing ended up working and in fact it blocked me 100% from even getting on from my local machine. I ended up deleting it from apps and deleting from my drives and it works now again... Thanks for the help !
