Android box can’t reach Windows JF 10.10.7 server on Telus

I’m running a Jellyfin server (latest 10.10.7 releases) on Windows 11, but can’t get my Android box (one with an RK3588 chipset) to see my server.  I’ve got the 8096 port forwarded to my Windows 11 box (the IP address is hard-coded).  No matter what I do, I can’t get my Android box to see my server.  Can anybody give me any pointers?

Is the Android device on the same network as your Jellyfin server? You shouldn't need port forwarding if they are on the same LAN.

You would need to check if the Windows firewall is configured to allow port 8096 or allow jellyfin.exe in its entirety. You should also check whether your network adapter is set to public or private. Should be private as that is what Jellyfin creates rules for during installation.
