    Dear Jellyfin forum members,

I cannot install the latest version of Jellyfin on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.5 (Kernel: Linux 5.14.0-503.22.1.el9_5.x86_64).

For days I've been trying all sorts of things I found on Google but nothing helped.

    I have EPEL & RPM-Fusion.

    dnf install jellyfin
    Updating Subscription Management repositories.
Last metadata expiration check: 0:17:03 ago on Sat 01 Feb 2025 13:28:37 GMT.
    Error:
Problem: package jellyfin-server-10.8.13-1.el9.x86_64 from rpmfusion-free-updates requires ffmpeg, but none of the providers can be installed
      - package ffmpeg-5.1.6-2.el9.x86_64 from rpmfusion-free-updates requires ffmpeg-libs(x86-64) = 5.1.6-2.el9, but none of the providers can be installed
      - package jellyfin-10.8.13-1.el9.x86_64 from rpmfusion-free-updates requires jellyfin-server = 10.8.13-1.el9, but none of the providers can be installed
      - package ffmpeg-libs-5.1.6-2.el9.x86_64 from rpmfusion-free-updates requires librubberband.so.2()(64bit), but none of the providers can be installed
      - conflicting requests
      - nothing provides ladspa needed by rubberband-3.1.3-2.el9.x86_64 from epel

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

The version are you trying to install is very old. And there are likely a lot of broken dependencies.

My recommendation is to install Docker and then use Docker to install and run Jellyfin.
    Jellyfin 10.10.7 (Docker)
    Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS w/HWE
    Intel i3 12100
    Intel Arc A380
    OS drive - SK Hynix P41 1TB
    Storage
4x WD Red Pro 6TB CMR in RAIDZ1

Thanks for pointing that out, how strange I haven't even noticed that RPM Fusion is trying to install a year old version.
I'll try to see why that is and I'll try to figure out how to install the latest version using RPM Fusion, as I would prefer to install it directly without docker.

Hopefully using the latest version it won't have errors.

AFAICT, the maintainers of the RPM fusion builds haven't built an EL9 rpm since 10.8.13.
