Change next up behaviour

I'm wondering if there is a way to change the next up behaviour for shows. I recently found out that there is some form of time limit for a show to appear within next up, is it possible to change that limit on a client / server basis? 

I ask because I can watch a season then the next season may not be out for 6+ months by which time Jellyfin has "forgotten" about it (and so have I)

The default for "next up" is 1 year, located in Settings > Display > Max Days in Next up.

Regardless, Jellyfin does not currently re-add a show to next up if you later add additional seasons.

So no matter what the next up limit is set to if I finish season 2 let's say and season 3 comes out 2 months later, it will not shoe up in next up?

Correct. The new episode will be pushed on the "Recently added in ..." section on the home page.


If there's more than one new episode, the show folder gets pushed/shown there instead.

Recently added gets filled up so I miss new episodes of new seasons. Is this sonthing that could be fixed/added/feature request?
It seems silly that new episodes don't appear in next up.
