    Hi Everyone,
I've recently changed to truenas scale (24.04) from windows 11, and being an Emby premier member I have that installed...but I'm looking to change over to Jellyfin(it's free)...so i've been trying to get it to work alongside emby, however I can't...from what i understand it's because Emby and jellyfin share the same port number 8096...and being a Newbie i don't think I'm changing the correct port section of Jellyfin in order that they don't clash and for it to work....so any help with this matter would be appreciated and the simpler the better Smiling-face
    thank you in advance.

Stop Emby, start jellyfin. In Jellyfin go to Dashboard > Networking and change the port to whatever (8097 or something like that). Restart Jellyfin, it should not listen on 8097. Now start Emby back up.

OP mentions he's on Truenas Scale. I wonder if his apps are on a VM, because TN Scale provides their own version of Emby and Jellyfin as community apps. Both apps launch with their own ports, so you can run both without conflicts. And if you run a custom app by yourself, all you have to do is port foward Jellyfin to use a different port that what Emby is using.

Efficient_Good_5784 : This setup is not being used on a VM...as stated i'm really new to running truenas...so it was a standard install...but thank you for your reply and consideration...and TheDreadPirate i will give your method a try your help is appreciated.
