I'm running Jellyfin server on my Windows 11 system. I have set up a show library. It contains a directory to a show titled "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes". This was a show broadcast on the BBC in 1984. However the metadata is describing a show titled "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson" which was broadcast in the Soviet Union starting in 1979. Is there anyway I can resolve this discrepancy?

I'm certainly glad someone else is having this problem! I have this issue with TAOSH as well. I also have it with several other series. I've even put in the first broadcast date (1955 in one instance), the names of the actors, etc, and get metadata from some Asian animated series. I hope you get someone who can help us fix this and I'll keep monitoring this thread.

You can add tmdbid or tvdbid to the show series
Ex: "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (1984) [tvdbid-77728]" https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/server/media/shows/ Or you can use identify on show page Btw "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" is an alternative name, that's why didn't find the current show, the main name is "Sherlock Holmes" In case of doubt check TMDB or TVDB https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/799-sherlock-holmes https://www.thetvdb.com/series/sherlock-holmes-1984 |
