Just recently did I find out about Jellyfin, as I have been using Kodi for several years.
Looking for alternatives, Jellyfin was one of the most recommended.
Looked at some YouTube videos on installation, and the most I found were on Linux platforms for the server, not Windows 10 like I use. But I tried.
The first installation run well, though I could only find one device on my network that also had Jellyfin on the application list.
So I installed the main program yet on my PC, which I would be using as files server for now too. Network is through Ethernet, not Wi Fi.
Then I installed Jellyfin on the device, and it found my PC server right away.
My first problem, which started the mess I got in, was that I think I did setup the HDDs and folders the wrong way.
This caused the second problem: to uninstall JellyFin on my PC to start all over again. Well, only today could (I think) uninstall everything and reinstall the program. But things didn't run as smoothly as the first time now. I can't seem to make Jellyfin connect to my server, that is my PC HDDs.
The firewall I did check, and Jellyfin is not blocked. But I get this message and can't go forward.
