Simple way to delete collections content?

Is there an easy way to delete the entire contents of a collection without deleting the collection itself? I have tried to use the mass-select option but "Remove from collection" is not listed as an option. CLI suggestions are also welcome.

I couldn't find a way in the UI. I'm sure there is a way with the API, but I'm not an expert in its usage.
