    I mean...sure? Watch the encoded versions and see if the fidelity meets your needs. I save anywhere from ~15-90% on my AV1 encodes, though some media is harder than others (particularly media older than ~2010).

    I can second bitmap's statement. Animation compresses A LOT. Especially modern animation with no film grain.

    I've had some movies compress hardly at all. I had a 4K movie from the mid-90s go from ~46GB to 40GB. And I think most of that was from getting rid of the extra audio tracks in other languages.

    SVT-AV1-PSY works better than vanilla SVT-AV1 in terms of animation compression and overall compression in most cases. Additionally has the benefit of adaptive film grain, which re-evaluates film grain rather than applying it at one strength. Plus you can use psy-rd just like HEVC encodes do to fool your eyeballs.
