SOLVED: I can't add movies to existing collections (empty list)

Hmmmm.  Nothing out of the ordinary.  Can you open a browser console (F12), click on the "Console" tab, and replicate the problem?  That should show you any issues when it populates the list of collections to add to.

Also, do you have any custom CSS or themes applied?

Nope, my custom CSS box is empty. Also default theme.

Could be any addon?

Hahaha. I only have one collection, the one I showed you on the first page. "Barbie Collection"

Ok.  Open your dev console again and repeat the process of adding a movie.  But you only need to open the prompt to add a movie to a collection.  In the dev console I want you to click the line that pops up right when you open the prompt.

   

The one that contains "IncludeItemTypes=BoxSet".  It will move you over to the Sources tab and display the contents of what should be in your collection drop down.

Ok, I've found the problem.
For some reason in "Settings > Libraries > Collections > Enable Library" it must be enabled.
I had it disabled so it wouldn't appear on the main page, however it does appear inside the folder where those videos are.

When I turn Collections back on it does appear in the list to add more videos there.

So that it doesn't continue to appear on the main page I will disable it again, and when I need to add videos I will temporarily enable it.

I was going to write the bug on github anyway, but it seemed too complicated, I think I'll leave it for another time.

You can hide collections from the home screen without disabling the collections library.
