HDR ToneMapping on iPhone

I have a number of 4k HDR videos. I have enabled HDR Tone mapping in the settings of Jellyfin (I didn't like VPP Tone mapping, but please comment on if you know of something else). 

I have an iphone 14 pro. It has an hdr screen but does not have a 4k display or support 5.1 audio (I assume that's why transcoding is needed). 

Will I still get an HDR image on my iphone? If not, is there a way to allow that?

Jellyfin cannot currently transcode HDR to HDR. If there is video transcoding it will always be to SDR. I recall that HDR to HDR transcoding is expected in a future release (10.9+).
