    Hi,

I am new here even if I use with a lot of pleasure Jellyfin for several months now. I must thank you for the general quality and nice interface you come up with.

To be honest only 1 thing make me crazy in Jellyfin and I am pretty it can be done but I can't do it.

So first, little explanation on the configuration. Jellyfin (10.8.10) is running on docker on an Ubuntu host. It is available through a proxy (Apache). Each library has its own directory with the 'classic' structure <movie>/<movie>.mp4 or <tv>/Season 02/<tv>.S02E04.mp4.  Several users declared with each one a Trakt.tv account setup.

We are used to watch content always in original audio (understand the one of the program so english/korean/french whatever) with or without subtitles (depending of the user) and the language displayed depends also of the content and user. The corresponding files are side by side to the video with the appropriate filename. So, <tv>.S02E05.en.srt and  <tv>.S02E05.fr.srt for example. The .vtt version are also generated.

Each user has setup the default language audio and subtitles in the configuration. But despite of that, during watching, the subtitles chosen by default seem totally random. IT does not even follow the parameters to follow the last choice. Jellyfin seems to pick randomly on the available file. For example, watching 2 episodes of the same show by the same user (without logout of course) can make jellyfin propose 2 different language to start with.

Of course, I can change the language manually but it is really a pain to do it each time.

    What have I missed ?

    Thanks in advance
