    Login Android -->password requested

    Login on Android requires password whenever desktop PC is turned off. When desktop is turned on no password is asked.

    Hey,

    I´ve just set up jellyfin and am encountering a login issue on my TV

    Jellyfin streams from my NAS thats powered 24/7.
    I exclusively stream via the native Jellyfin App over a FireTV-stick to my tv.
    I have one user set up in Jellyfin with which I stream on the TV and do the setup-work from my desktop pc.

    Whenever I start the Jellyfin app on the TV (FireTV stick) I´m being asked to login into the user or use the QuickConnect-Method. That´s annoying as hell!
    The strange thing is, that I´m only ever asked when my desktop is turned off. If my desktop is turned on the tv logs in automatically with no problems. I dont even have to have opened the webinterface or interact with Jellyfin in any way on the desktop, as long as its booted its fine.

    So in short, if desktop is on no password ist asked on the TV, if desktop is turned off I get asked.

    I´ve enabled every "login automatically" setting I could find in the webinterface via desktop and in the Jellyfin app on the TV.

    Am I missing something here?
    Usually when I want to stream a movie its evening and the desktop ist turned of so this behaviour is really annoying.

    Greetings
    Marc

    So Jellyfin server is ONLY running on the NAS, correct? You definitely don't have it running on your desktop? Because what you're describing makes zero sense if Jellyfin server wasn't also installed on the desktop PC.

    Forget what I just said. I realized my mistake, let us not speak of it ever again. Flushed-face

    Thanks anyway!
